SBI Launch Buddy Mobile App in Mangalayatan University, on 16th December, 2015. To give convenience of hassle free online fund transfer to students and employees, State Bank of India (SBI) has launched its mobile wallet app ‘SBI Buddy’ in Mangalayatan University on Wednesday. Through this app anyone can pay during online shopping and transfer money to anyone even on the move.
During launch of the app in Mangalayatan University Shri S. Saillee, General Manager, SBI, Delhi said that the bank has already launched this app in IIT-Delhi. It is becoming more popular among the net savvy generation who don’t wish to be a part of queue before ATM.
‘This app is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. With the help of this app we can load money into our wallet, transfer money with contacts on phonebook and facebook, pay bills or recharge mobile, shop online or book tickets-hotels and transfer money instantly to our account. For the University students, parents can easily pay fees’, he said.
The app is available in 13 Indian languages, empowering millions of users in local dialects. Buddy’ ensures that one can raise requests for money instantly and send reminders with just a click. We have to just select our contact and send an Ask Money request. Buddy will track it till you get your money back.
Brig. (Dr.) Surjit Pabla, Vice-Chancellor, Mangalayatan University said that the University is trying to give more options to parents for easy money transfer to their children. SBI buddy is one of them.
Shri Mukesh Jain, Cdr. Manjeet Singh (Retd.), Registrar, CA Samiran Baral, Finance Officer, Kamal Deep Prasad, Deputy General Manager and Ashok Lohmord, Regional Manager were also present in the programme. Students enthusiastically downloaded the app during special camp by SBI in the campus.
